Thank You, Camp Pendleton!

We had a great time at Camp Pendleton this weekend. For my fellow Army Wives, I was struck by how massive the base is. I called my husband when I arrived and said, "Camp Pendleton is like Ft. Hood on steroids." 

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for coming out yesterday. The SpouseBUZZ team enjoyed meeting you and talking with you. Most of have been busy traveling to/from Camp Pendleton over the past few days, so blogging has been light here at SpouseBUZZ.  We're all slowing making our way back to our respective homes, so the pace will pick up once we've all landed and caught up on our sleep. 

Again, thanks to Pendleton and surrounding-area spouses for sharing your day with us yesterday. We had a blast!

Camp Pendelton is a MONSTER base..my brother was born there and I worked on base for about 3 months and my Dad was stationed there for about 7 years. It's a MONSTER base although Ft Lost in the Woods is fairly decent sized. The smallest..is Big Navy on Guam. LOL

I had a great time attending SpouseBuzz Live yesterday. It was my first one but definitely won't be my last. I got a lot of helpful tips when PCSing and on how to deal with deployments with children. Thank you SpouseBuzz team you all ROCK!!!

I never heard of your organization. I only heard about it 3 days before from my FRO via email sent to all wives of husbands squadron. I wish i had more warning then i would have brought a friend.
It was nice, only 1 thing I was disappointed in, not enough interaction amoung us during the discussion time. I would have liked more talk about the "lonely" feeling whether husband is here or not.
Those of us that live off base are "out of the circle" and really really are ALONE. We are almost outcast amoung the military circle.
We aren't allowed to partake in any of the "freebies" on the base because it's for base housing etc.
Anyways, I would have liked to had more decussions about that and also making friends for those not living on base as well.
I hope to attend another some day.

Thank you so much for coming. I am glad it got opened to more than just Camp Pendleton wives. I enjoyed the day and can't wait to attend another one.

I had such a blast on Saturday with all those who attended the Spousebuzz Live event. It was such a "coming home" feeling for me personally to be back among the Marine, Navy,et all wives of Pendleton.
I really did not want to get on that plane Sunday morning.

Such is the life of living off post..you never quite fit in and find out about stuff 2nd hand or via a newsletter, etc. We've been off post for 10 years now and it sucks. I have little to no military support and suffered through 1 deployment as a IA and the unit DH was attached to was in CA. Sucked bigtime.
