Thank You Ft. Bragg/Pope Spouses
December 1, 2007|
It's 11:05 p.m. and I've just returned to my room. I am exhausted, yet oddly energized. Spending the last few days, and today in particular, with military spouses has been a wonderful experience. SpouseBUZZ LIVE Ft. Bragg/Pope was a huge success. Today, I was surrounded by my sisters and my brothers. I felt right at home among you. We laughed and we cried (especially when Cliff Hudson performed).
Today we celebrated the one thing we all have in common - military service. I met several wonderful spouses today. I wish I could have met all of you. Whether I met you or not, you made an impression on me. You reminded me how proud I am to be a military spouse, and how lucky I am to have an army of sisters and brothers.
I'm sure many of us will have a lot more to say about this event in the coming days, but I didn't want to go to bed without saying thanks to all the spouses who attended today. You're all beautiful and strong and fabulous.

Thank you for a great experience. I laughed so hard I had tears running down my face. I have giggled all evening about the "reintegration" segment and of course, I have told all of my military friends. They understood... It did not feel as if we had been there long so I was disappointed when it was over. I have never been one for blogging but I am looking forward to reading this site. Great program. Chalk one up for the "sisters" (and Toad)!

Thank you SpouseBUZZ for coming to Fayetteville. I had a inspiring day...I laughed, I cried, I am motivated to make a difference in my life and the lives of my military family.
Thank you for sharing your lives with me.

I just wanted to say thank you, thank you for helping me as I laughed about my "deployment gremlins"... This was the perfect day, and such a blessing it was to spend it with people walking in the same shoes I am walking in.

I had a great time. I didn't know a soul going in, and though I probably won't remember anyone's name, I still felt connected to so many. Some of the stories were hilarious and memorable. I think my husband was tired of me reiterating the stories to him... especially the Russian mother-in-law, the lady with 10 kids, OH, and the lady that let the general's wife babysit her kids! Loved it!

I loved it - loved meeting everyone, loved talking to people, LOVED IT!
There's just something about being surrounded by people in the same shoes who "get it" that is always comforting and tremendously inspiring.

This was such a great experience for me! I will need some time to find a way to put it into words, but I am so thankful to have met so many amazing women and the man who loves the ladies!

Thank you so much! It was a great day: no kids, lots of goodies, many laughs, and bonding with other military spouses. I had a wonderful time!

Thank you for a wonderful event. Loved it. When you have another one I want to come and bring all the young wives from my unit. What a wonderful experience, absolutely worth the babysitter and dragging myself out bed. Thank you!!!!!!

What an amazing group of women. And not a whiner in the bunch - I was truly humbled to be among them. Thanks, Andi, for the opportunity to be inspired by these lovely, strong, and graceful women.
I, too, wish every military wife could have had the same chance - not to be missed.

Another great facet of SPOUSEbuzz was the chance to see how many great guys are supporting their active duty wives. Times have changed, and IMO for the better. It takes a strong man to give more than just lip service to the old saw: "They also serve..."
We hear that a lot and think, "If you only knew."
Now, many men *do* know and they are supporting their country, their wives and families, and the United States military magnificently.

I didnt know what to expect but, you all knocked my socks off. I was so happy to laugh & cry with everyone that was in attendace Dec 1st. I have a huge place in my heart for all of you ladies & Toad that were on the panel especially Ginger & Karen(Joan D'Arc).
I am so happy to be a part of special elite force of military spouses. I wouldnt be any other place. I am looking forward to attending another conference some day.
