The creators behind the Sesame Workshop's military kid support, Sesame Street for Military Families, are looking for military kids and their families to feature on their Facebook page over April -- and they want you to submit your military child story.

April has long been designated "Month of the Military Child" by the Pentagon -- and Sesame Street is getting in on the action this year by posting photos and stories of military kids and their families throughout the month. But they can't do that without your help, they say.

"Military kids and their families are awesome and we want tell everyone all about it," posted to their Facebook page March 19. "What special family story would you like to share with others? Throughout April, the Month of the Military Child, we will be posting your family’s stories, videos, and photos on our page!"

To get in on the fun, military parents can send their military child story write-up to Sesame Street for Military Families via email at militaryfamilies@sesame.org or a Facebook message through their page with a photo, video or story with 100 words or less, they wrote.

Sesame Street for Military Families, founded in 2006, has produced a variety of tools and resources for military kids dealing with deployment, relocation and even grief and military loss. Their USO tour has traveled the world hooking kids up with PCS advice, among other help, and that all important Elmo connection. They have a collection of awesome apps for military kids
