From Across the Pond: AUSA Day Two

FacebookXPinterestEmailEmailEmailShare

While we were waiting Tuesday afternoon to interview Kathleen Marin, director of installation services in the office of the assistant chief of staff for installation management, we overheard a fascinating conversation between her and British Army Maj. Gen. Andrew Gregory, Director of General Personnel.

Maj. Gen. Gregory sat in on the family forum and said he was fascinated to hear about the large amount of money the US Army spends on family programs. Keeping in mind they have a much smaller Army, his nation, he said, doesn’t have anything that comes close to being like it.

We asked him for a quick interview with us and he graciously agreed.

It's nice to be reminded that while, no, things are not perfect in US Army family care land, we do have it awfully good...
