I cannot wait to see this film.
when DH returned from his 18 month deployment, he met Jerry. The man in red red shirt.
He called me at 4:30am, and said, "you would not believe the wonderful welcome we just got here, in fact some man just handed me his phone and told me to call you" "I am home, and I love you". In addition he received a note with messages from the Bangor Maine volunteers...
they will never know how grateful this family is....

Thanks for sharing this. I think the Bangor Maine Greeters have made a differencce to every single military spouse whose SO was deployed. When Mark told me what they did during our first deployment, I said a little prayer of thanks for them.

When my husband deployed in May, he went through Bangor on his way out of the US. Those first few hours after they leave are always the hardest, but because of these amazing people, I got to hear my husband tell me goodnight and that he loved me before I went to sleep. And me talking to him helped him on his long flight over the Atlantic. Too many people in our country take for granted what these people think of as a priveledge...and I am honored just to be able to write this. --Proud Wife of an Army SGT

The Bangor Maine Greeters are a blessing every deployed troop should have the opportunity to meet. Recently, my husband went through there on his way out of the US. Not only do they provide the phones, they also take pictures. Following my husbands experience I met a reservist and I told her about the Greeters. She deployed last year but went through another east coast airport and said the people were rude to all the service members. Maybe other airports should take a lesson from the Bangor Greeters in appreciation for our troops that give up so much to defend our freedom! Thank you Bangor Maine Greeters!!!!

Greetings, Thank You for sharing thi with all of us. This is heart warming and comes to show how much motivations many Americans have even after retiring from the Armed Forces. I applaud these greeters in Bangor for their time and motivation, as this really makes a difference in the lives of all the troops. :)

Thank you for the video clip. My daughter is about to deploy to Iraq and it was wonderful to see folks that truly appreciate the sacrifice. Thank you Bangor! I hope others will see and be inspired to do the same.

My company had the privilege to stop by Bangor on our return from our deployment and I must say what a great feeling it was to feel honored like no other. Going home on mid-tour to Atlanta/Dallas terminals was a joke compared to this place. Thanks to Bangor for their kindness and hospitality, I felt welcomed after 15 long months!

I am the proud fiance of a U.S. Marine & proud family member of my military family serving right now around the world and friends as well. I would love to meet the people of Bangor. If it wasn't for the military personnel sacrificing their freedom for us, then the U.S. wouldn't be the U.S. Thank you. Proud fiance of a U.S. Marine 1st LT.

WOW! God really has blessed America. What wonderful people, thank you Bangor. My son is in AD and just got back from Iraq, he already has orders for Afghanistan, I will pray for his safe return again and that maybe he will get a chance to meet these wonderful people upon his return. Although they did have a wonderful greating from an airport where they landed and there where veterans saluting them upon landing all along the runway. We live and die for a wonderful country!
