Challenge Update

As an FYI - I will get the challenge photos from March up, and post the April challenge later this week. Sorry, been on the road, and I'm also trying to figure out my new laptop. And yes, it's a Mac....

I'm also curious to find out how the Mac works out, we've lost a ridiculous amount of laptops to viruses and just random crashes. We've been thinking about getting a mac desktop and this might be the year. :)

I have a Dell laptop at the moment, but I really want a Mac powerbook. Someday when we are not paying for me to be in school I might get one!

Thanks for the update. I was wondering. lol I recently was in the market for a new laptop and looked at Macs but found an 17" HP for $800 on sale and just couldn't justify a Mac for $1000 more. I would love one but can't see paying $1800 minimum for a laptop.

Having been on both sides of the fence (Mac/PC), I will say this...NOTHING beats a good antivirus program and regular backups. Regardless of what kind of O/S you use, nothing will cover your butt better than those two things.
Those of you that have had laptops die on you and have replaced them, tear into the old one (it's already broken!) and learn where things are and how to replace them. It's incredibly easy - especially on a Dell - to swap hard drives out on either a laptop or a desktop. And, since that is the one thing that usually tanks, your wallet will thank you if all you need to do is swap out an $80 hard drive rather than buy a new $800 laptop.
That being said, I LOVE MY MAC!!!
