Organizations Partner to Support Military Families

Humana Military Healthcare Services and ValueOptions has partnered with Give an Hour to provide military families with behavioral healthcare. Parents, siblings, and unmarried partners are not eligible for behavioral healthcare through TRICARE. Give an Hour will fill that gap by providing behavioral healthcare services to those family members. Hmmm....I went to take the poll and didn't know what half the abbreviations meant.

?????

So I backed out of it ::shrugs::

I also dont go to MTFs currently for my healthcare,so maybe that is why Im not up on the lingo...

USW- sorry you had trouble with the abbreviations.

Here is a list:

MTF (military treatment facility)

MHS (military health system)

PTSD (post traumatic stress syndrome)

TBI (traumatic brain injury)

AHLTA (Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application, it is the military's electronic health record system, EHR)

Thanks AHLTA was the one that was just drawing blanks.
