NBC and Teleflora are hosting an "America's Favorite Mom" Contest. Over the past three months, people have nominated their mothers for the honor and online voting has been taking place. Three contests (one per month) have been decided and winners have been declared in three categories; America's Most Humorous Mom, America's Most Inspirational Mom and America's Most Popular Mom (TBA soon).
Now comes the big contest - America's Favorite Mom. Today, the semi-finalists were announced. They will appear on NBC's Today Show beginning next Monday, May 5. NBC has selected three semi-finalists for the "The Military Mom" category; Patti Patton-Bader, Melinda Gintilas and Rosanna Vasquez-Brown. These three ladies will be on NBC in the 9:00 hour next Monday morning. Patti (founder of Soldiers' Angels) was voted America's Most Inspirational Mom in the March contest and now, all of these women will be competing to be named a finalist for America's Favorite Mom.
Tune in next Monday and then go cast your vote. As often as you can. Wouldn't it be wonderful for a military mom to win?

Patti is most deserving of this award and of course all prizes will be turned into items for our deployed and wounded hero's.
Patti is truly inspiring and a role model for thousands of people. Visit us at www.soldiersangels.org

I too would love to see Patty recognized. I know that her prize will be used for those serving all of us so far away. It has been a true honor and blessing to be part of Soldiers Angels and would encourage anyone to follow in Patty's mission. A real way to pay it forward!!!

MilitaryConnection.com has had the pleasure of working with Patti Patton-Bader and Soldiers Angels on many occasions. We will continue to help and support them. Patti's energy and dedication never cease to amaze me. When I think that I understand all of the numerous programs of Soldiers Angels, I learn of new ones. They are truly their own cottage industry of support and love for our troops. I am sure that all of the nominees are wonderful and wish all military moms a very happy Mother's Day.

I could think of a better way to spend 250,000 than giving the actual money to the mom. How about The troops families and the Troops.
I bet she wont share a dime!
there are many groups who help the troops with so much passsion. Most of us do it without any recognition or publicity or money!

my son decided he hated me after i gave him a dose of his verbal beatings and has blocked all avenues for me to find him. i would say he has shown more stick to it ness for this but i'm not the only one he has cut off. his cousins, at the time only 12 yrs and his brother ( a disabled vet), his uncles who took him in at his lowest point, his grandma who has since passed, his uncle w/ stage 4 melanoma and yes, his poor mother (me) the awful woman the haridan et el... are all looking for a way to let him know we are all here for him, and understand he is not real proud of his disapperance & most likely has no idea how to rectify things, so we shall do it for him! yes... i said things no mother should ever say to their child, and i didnt let him back peddle out, and my stand on curtasy was perhaps a bit much, but Brian, you know i gave nothing more than you had given & acctually a lot less.
if anyone knows how to get contact info ( i prefer direct so as not to involve higher ups) for a NAVAL HOSP CORPSMAN last known in japan, his boot camp addy was SHIPPER 14 ???? and navy locater only sends them mail, gives no info back....
