WAR: Through the eyes of a 6-year-old

A dear friend of mine (and former neighbor) e-mailed this to me a while ago. I thought it was incredibly powerful and asked if I could post it... obviously she said yes. This is what she wrote:
Subject: What a 6-year-old understands about war
"Last night, folded as a card, Julie-Ann gave this to Daddy. We wonder how war affects our children.
Please keep the military child in your prayers."

"When you were around you held me in your arms. I gave you a kiss before you left. Now you are gone. What can I do now? Now I miss you. I miss you."

That is powerful. My children missing their dad truly hurts my heart.

This could be the saddest thing I've seen in quite a while. Just because they don't gripe about it all day doesn't mean they aren't affected. I will definitely keep them in my prayers.
