What's Your Story: Holiday Edition

|

We've been slacking with our What's Your Story contest, but we're bringing it back just in time for the holidays.

December's title: Holidays, Military Style.

Tell us how you plan to spend the holiday season, with or without your spouse. What you plan to do or what you've done in the past. How a military style holiday is different than a civilian one. The topic is totally open for interpretation and you can choose which direction you go. There's no right or wrong way to write about it.

The winner will receive a fabulous prize package courtesy of USAA and Military.com. Just ask our previous winners how great the package is!

Submission rules are as follows:

We'll accept essays from now until December 14.

Entries should be no longer than 900 words in length. Click here to email your story, and put "What's Your Story" in the subject line.

Good Luck!

OH yeah....as a winner (see February's contest)...I can tell you that you WANT to win this! The prizes were OMG unbelievable. I'm keeping warm in Kansas with one of them...it is remarkably similar to my hubby's Army-issued fleece, and thus, he's tried to confiscate it several times (I keep telling him that the Military.com logo on it means that he is out of UNIFORM!). And my iPod is about to be loaded up with Christmas tunes to be sung at the top of my lungs (as soon as I recover from the musical I am performing in).

Ladies - I urge you, participate in this - you'll get a great little "extra" under your tree this year.

Oh...and can *I* participate again???? LOL, JUST KIDDING!!!

Hi Im new on spouseBuzz.. It says tell my A story! Well here it is. My Husband is stationed overseas, Not our first time hes been gone during the holidays. But this one is hard for my son a nd i.But what struck my sons heart the most was when his dad had called he said" Son thank you for the package and letter you and mom send ever week. But son i gave a few things away" MY son replys Why dad" Mail call is the highlight of the day and a couple of the solider did not get any mail and they walked away depressed nothing from home. So our son (age 15) came up to his schools and dentist, freind and family and said will you sponsor a sad soldier. They all responded yes I would love to give thanks to our Troops. I now am opening a bussiness for my son and i to make prepare gift package and cards for sponsors to buy to send to soliders overseas. Military wife you can say we know what to send and how to pack them, Ive done enough of them, now it time for me to help others. So i guess I need to start with any one who know any soliders who would like to be sponsered while there overseas. And all you other military wife you can feel and understand. Im involved in our home town and many americans want to help armed forces who are deploded. As my husband would say american soliders are the best trained and the most highly motivated fighting men and women in the world but everyone always has a soft spot for home..

So please send me some name and address of soliders or large units. Army Navy Maries or Air Force. I also will inform everyone only who sponsor a solider will be confidental. and the solider will have the choose to send a thank you to me to give to the sponsor so no name and address will not be giving out. Remember i to have a husband in the army and know all the security issues and more. Show support of our troops. My store was named by our son, It American Solider. Please email me Thank you So much.

I'm new to this site and I'm trying to find my way around. Is there a help menu? I posted something in the marriage section but the dates were very old. I don't know if anyone will read what I have written. Where can I get responses to my concerns so people can read them? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
