Weekly Gratitude
October 30, 2007|
I have an abundance of things to be thankful for this morning.
Autumn, in all of its beauty has arrived. The roofs around the neighborhood have frost in them on the morning. The squirrels are busy gathering food stores for the winter. The leaves are changing very slowly.
I have a lot to be thankful for this morning, a warm bed, a warm home, warm slippers, and as always my precious family.
What are you thankful this morning.

I am thankful for the hot chocolate I shared with my little guy after our 2 mile walk this morning. I'm also thankful that we're healthy and whole so we can go enjoy that walk.

My son is feeling better after a week-long illness that involved an emergency room run for an ear infection...my husband is happy with good things going on in his unit, my daughter is doing great in school, and I'm still alive and kicking today after a killer sinus migraine (refer to sick child above, who generally doesn't share, but was more than generous with his cold). And it's a GORGEOUS day!

I am thankful for the wonderful parish family I have and all the support they give me. It shows that God will gives us His family when our biological families fail us.

I am thankful for my friend, Beth, who invited me to be a part of her daughter's birth today. It was my distinct honor to serve as her birth coach...I was the 2nd person (aside from the medical personnel & Beth) on this planet to hold that beautiful girl. God is very good.
