Addicted to The Bachelor
May 8, 2007|
Yes, I know my life is really not very exciting when I'm writing about my guilty pleasure ABC's The Bachelor. I should probably be taking AirForce Wife's advice and be writing a love letter right now...
Anyway,
The latest episode of ABC's The Bachelor Officer and a Gentleman aired last night, and I actually think it's getting better. (Did I just say that?!)
There are a couple of blogs I found out there that "Recap" the episodes far better than I could, so I am going to share them with all of you.
First, let me say I think Dani is the dark horse winner. I might regret that later, but I have a "feeling" that she will take home that last rose and she will be coming to a Navy base near you.
The first blog I found on The Bachelor is Sarah Smiley's "The Most Exciting Rose Ceremony *EVER*!. You know Sarah as a writer for Military.com and her column Shore Duty. She is really funny and there you can read her interview with Andy.
The next story I have for you was sent to me via one of your very own SpouseBUZZ authors (who shall remain anonymous). This link is to the Military.com interview with Andy. I know you can't get enough of this stuff! Isn't life just exciting when your husband/spouse is gone?!
The BEST (in my opinion) blog in this category is The Bachelor Recaps, its funny, gives all the fun/dirt in detail and she even throws in a photo or two along the way. Not mention we agree on keeping an eye on Danielle.
One of my favorite lines:
"How do we feel about guys who drink using a straw?!" - and is complete with a photo
I've made my pick, do you have one?
Update:
As in Danielle, Tessa or Bevin?....oops if you thought I meant favorite blog.

Has anyone seen this article?

It's a great magazine for spouses. I've found it for sale at the exchange, but it's not always in stock, so I subscribed online.

Tessa is my favorite, she seems the most down-to-earth and realistic about the whole thing. I'm not a big Bevin fan though...
My husband comes home from work just as the show is ending...and he always rolls his eyes at me, but its my guilty pleasure!!!

***Spoiler Alert!!!*** Ok, I can't "validate" this information, but I'd heard it on TV and found it again online. It may be true, it may not be.... guess we can see after the finale! But if you are interested, here's the potential spoiler: http://tvcocktail.ivillage.com/entertainment/2007/05/the_bachelor_spoiler_alert.html

if bevin wins, Andy's guaranteed one night in the sack (ha ha.)
tessa can't win: What conservative navy doc would invite a liberal social worker into his circle?
by default it's danielle: Plus she is looking better and better with each episode. I practically feel in love with her after meeting her sweet and "idealistic" parents.

Hi Wendy: I'm glad you understand I was being funny. Honestly: My husband found me teary eyed over Amber. Why wouldn't her parents gear up and support her? Controlling!!! Ouch!

Well after watching the last episode I really started to dislike Tessa. To me she seems very fake and cold! I was glad to see Amber leave. Even though she didn't have the support of her parents, she really showed her true colors when she had dinner with her room mate. I think he saw that yes, she is mature for 23 but she still has a lot of the "Silly College Girl" thing going on. I mean ewww gross laughing at the dog peeing on the carpet and not even getting up to clean it! I am pulling for Bevin. Yes I believe she may be a bit of the underdog right now but I think she just may have what it takes. Yes, a lot of tears and emotion but still I think she seems very sweet and has a lot of support from her family. Who knows though?! I just hope whoever has been chosen that she doesn't have a very hard time adjusting to the Military Lifestyle and that people around her help ease her into the way of life. It's going to be a big shock no matter which is the lucky lady I think.

It finally dawned on me. These people are humans. Why they subject this wonderful experience to the eye of the camera I'll never know. It doesn't matter. There is a woman out there that will need spouse buzz. I'll welcome anyone of them.
