What an Honor!

|

I've just put the last group of SpouseBUZZ bloggers on their airplanes, and have been able to take some time to absorb the enormous experience that was SpouseBUZZ LIVE. I plan to write more later, but it was such a large experience that no matter how hard I try, I will never be able to capture the sense of sisterhood (as the attendees were all female) and the emotion that all of us felt yesterday when we were in the same room with another.

For the attendees, thank you for coming. The SpouseBUZZ authors were able to meet most of you personally. It was truly an honor to talk to you, hear your stories and share our stories. Each of you are amazing women, and we were thrilled to be in your company.

For those of you who are just discovering SpouseBUZZ, I encourage you to read our archive folders which you can find here and here.

I'm sure all of our authors will be writing about SpouseBUZZ LIVE more in the coming days.

WOW - what an incredible day!

Ive oft wrote about Americas unsung heroes, and Im not talking about your Soldiers, Marines, Airmen, Sailors, or Coastguardsmen. No, I speak of those married to them, of their children, and of their parents. So, in the spirit of th... [Read More]

Andi,

You did a great thing and you've done a great job!

I read through the Panel accounts, and it sounded like there were a lot of real, powerful connections.

What a blessing this must have been to all of you, and to all who attended.

To all the panelists and behind the scene people: Outstanding! Job well done!

You really need to take this on the road, for all the many military families who could use the encouragement, sharing, and meeting others who've been there, and persevered.

Not much I can say except WOW! It was an awesome day. It is a day that turned my life as a military wife into a different direction. It made me put into perspective some things that I guess I just didnt have a grasp on yet. My hubby has been military for 14 years (active 3 years, NG 10 years, now active again). We got married July 4th 2005, got orders to fort hood, he deployed and all of a sudden, Im supposed to know what to do, in a big place (we were at Ft Riley before), dont know anybody, dont know where anything is AND I dont know everything I need to know about army life that is necessary to know when your spouse is deployed. YIKES! I wish I had this at the beginning of the deployment, but Im sure there will be another one I can use it on. I know, not real positive thinking, but Hey, Im being realistic. My husband says I always live my life with my glass half empty. He is totally opposite, glass is always half full, everything has a positive. I always tell him, Honey, Im not being negative, Im being realistic.
Thanks
